Discussion: Class Introduction

The first Discussion is an introduction video. The student is required to post a 3 – 4 minute video and two replies of at least 100 words to two classmates’ threads.

Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore the student will participate in two Discussions in this course. Each student will post a thread of 500 words by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Thursday of the assigned Module: Week. Additionally, the student will post 2 replies of 250 words by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of the assigned Module: Week.

The student must write his/her thread in APA format using a title page and reference list. Include APA citations in the text and a reference list at the end as appropriate. Each thread is required to cite at least three APA citations from the textbook readings, article(s), and/or video presentations. Other references may be researched and utilized also, and they would be in addition to a minimum of three references from the assigned readings. (MLO: A-D)

Applied Ethics Mini Case Study Assignments (4)

The student will write thoughts and reflections in the form of a mini case study on the prompt for the given Module: Week. The student must reference the textbook, article reading(s), and presentations for the respective Module: Week as well as personal observations and experience for support. (MLO: A-D)

Ethics Theories Matrix Assignments (6)

The student will complete the portions of the ethics theories matrix template that correlate to that module’s readings and lesson. The template is organized along the lines of the chapters in the book. The student will complete each column of the matrix for each chapter of the book, and at the bottom of each section, the student will provide personal thoughts and reflections on how each respective ethics theory might apply to work in the aviation industry. (MLO: A-D)

Personal Ethics Philosophy Paper Assignment

The student will write a 4–6 page personal ethics philosophy paper that synthesizes the ethics theories, concepts, and applications that have been studied in the course.  The paper will incorporate personal values and a biblical worldview to formulate a personal ethics philosophy the student can apply in personal life and in organizations. (MLO: A-D)

Personal Ethics Philosophy Presentation Assignment

The student will present a 9- to 15-minute video of their personal ethics philosophy paper. (MLO: A-D)
