The Personal Philosophy of Nursing Assignment provides the student the opportunity to formulate and defend his or her philosophy of nursing within the nursing metaparadigm and biblical worldview. This paper must be no longer than 7 pages and must include at least 4 peer-reviewed scholarly references.
Professional Statement Assignment
The Professional Statement provides the student the opportunity to formulate and articulate the professional role of the DNP-prepared nurse. It must be limited to 1 page and be supported by a minimum of 2 scholarly references.
Introduction to Theory Presentation Assignment
You will select a middle-range nursing theory to evaluate in a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. The presentation must be limited to 9 slides and must contain at least 5 peer-reviewed scholarly resources.
You will use the same theory introduced in the Introduction to Theory Presentation Assignment and apply it to research and practice in a PowerPoint presentation. The presentation must be limited to a total of 12 slides and must use at least 5 peer-reviewed scholarly resources.

Theory-Guided Practice: Paper Assignment
The Theory-Guided Practice: Paper provides the graduate nursing student the opportunity to identify and present an actual practice experience. The student will describe a nursing and a borrowed middle-range theory and discuss the application of each theory to the identified practice experience. The student will evaluate selected theories for substantive foundation, structural integrity, and functional adequacy. Furthermore, the student will discuss the implications of the selected theories on nursing practice within the Christian worldview. This paper must be formatted in the current APA style and must be limited to 13 pages (including the title page, but excluding references). A minimum of 10 peer-reviewed, scholarly references are required.
