Discussion assignments are collaborative learning experiences. Each student will complete 2 Discussion Board Forums throughout this course. Each forum will require a thread of at least 500 words in response to the prompt provided. The student must then post 2 replies to classmates’ threads of at least 250 words each.

Informatics Program Assignments:

The student will complete two Informatics Program papers. Each paper must be 5 – 8 pages, formatted in the current APA style, include a title and reference page (not included in the required page count), and incorporate a minimum of 5 scholarly resources.

Informatics Program: Needs Assessment Assignment:

The student will select a program type (telehealth, EHR, or simulation) on which to base their work for the Informatics Program Assignments. The student will integrate a theoretical framework, describe a needs assessment, and identify the role of the informatics nurse in relation to the program type selected.

Informatics Program: Implementation Plan Assignment:

Building on the needs assessment, the student will devise a program implementation plan which incorporates QSEN graduate-level competencies, health IT policies, ethical considerations, and organizational benefits of the program.
