  • Why the student is pursuing the DBA (e.g. to further his/her knowledge, change careers, etc.);

As each student has questions during the course, those questions must be posed in the Individual Discussion Board Forum. This discussion board is used throughout the course. Current APA format is not required for this posting. This forum is designed to spark interaction with peers and get any questions answered prior to proceeding to the next course. If a student’s question has not been answered within 48 hours, the professor will respond to the student. At that time, no further answers to the student’s question may be completed for credit.

Group Discussion Board Forums (4)

For this collaborative discussion board, the instructor will place the student into a group at the beginning of the course. The student is required to create a thread in response to the provided promptly for each group forum. There is not a minimum word count; however, the group collectively must demonstrate course-related knowledge.

One member from the group will post his/her group’s presentation to the class-wide Discussion Board Forum correlating with the group’s Discussion Board Forum so other class members from other groups can reply. In addition to the thread on his/her group forum, each student is required to individually reply to another group’s posting in the class-wide correlating forum. There is no minimum word count and a formal current APA format is not required.

Time Management Audit

The student will conduct a time audit over the course of 5 business days in 15-minute increments. A formal current APA format is not required.

Current Business Essay

The student will write a 1,000-word essay on a business topic from within the past year of his/her choice in the current APA format. The paper must include at least 1 book, 2 peer-reviewed journal articles, and 1 internet source.

Integrative Final Learning Project

The student will write a 300-word essay on the lessons learned in the course, and how those lessons will prepare the student for success within the DBA program. A cover page is required, but a formal current APA format is not required for this assignment.

DBA Program Assessment

This assessment is used to show the beginning point of new students and is then assessed again at 2 later points in the program.
