Rationale

The purpose of this course is to provide students with a biblical framework that may be used to guide their interactions with others who are seeking financial guidance. Further, the course will provide students with the requisite knowledge to sit for the CKA exam.

Measurable Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Articulate the objectives of CKA® training.
  2. Memorize scripture verses that relate to financial planning.
  3. Outline the know, belief, and do learning process.
  4. Evaluate financial planning methods in light of biblical principles.

Initial Reflection Assignment :

The student is required to write an initial reflection on the biblical application of financial planning concepts. While there is not a required word count, thorough answers are expected.

Case Study Assignments (19) :

Each module has a case study that allows the student to practice the concepts they have learned. Case studies are scenarios that may occur in the workplace. While there is no required word count, questions should be thoroughly answered in APA format, as appropriate.

Final Reflection Assignment :

The student will write a final reflection in the current APA format that focuses on the differences and similarities the student had on the biblical application of financial planning concepts. The paper must be supported, though there is no required minimum number of sources.

Total Quizzes (6) :

Each quiz will cover the Learn material for the assigned modules. Each quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 25 multiple-choice questions, and have a 1-hour and 30-minute time limit. Each quiz may be taken twice, with the highest score counting.
