The purpose of this course is to prepare the student to competently engage in the area of aviation administration as a mid-level manager.

Measurable Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Discussion: Class Introduction

The student will introduce himself or herself to the class by answering some questions in a thread of at least 250 words. Each student must also reply to 2 other classmates. Reply posts are required to be at least 100 words.

Discussion assignment submissions consist of an initial video (narrated PowerPoint) post and at least two written replies (minimum of 250 words) on two thread submissions by two different students. Guidance on how to create a narrated PowerPoint is provided. (MLOs: A–D)

Strategic Recommendations Proposal Assignment

The Strategic Recommendations Proposal Assignment is the culminating project for AVIA 314.  The business proposal is used to address a specific problem or opportunity within an organization. Proposals will typically be focused and abbreviated in content and heavy with supporting arguments and data. (MLOs: A–D)

Quizzes (4)

The student will complete 4 quizzes in this course. Each quiz will be in a timed open-book/note format. Quizzes incorporate multiple choice and essay-type questions and quizzes are cumulative. The student will have one hour to complete each quiz. (MLOs: A–D)
