Course Description

The second course in a two-course sequence deals with corporate income taxes, taxes on corporate distributions, and other corporate tax levies; partnership information, operation, and special issues; corporations, gift, and estate taxes; the income taxation of trusts and estates; and IRS administrative procedures.

Rationale

A foundation course in taxation designed for accounting and business students as part of integrated business education. The student will complete a Comprehensive Problem Assignment from the textbook. The problem must be submitted as a PDF file using a tax software of the student’s choosing, provided it is able to be attached as a PDF file.
